  • Both varsity and sophomore Girl’s Basketball won their home openers vs Chicago Academy. For soph team, Ronjanea Johnson scored team high 18. Varsity Jasemin Wilson scored 13 for varsity.

  • Wrestling went 2-1 at Saturday’s meet against Chicago Academy. Outstanding wrestlers were captains Shanoor Kahn (3-0) and Dulce Reyes (3-0) who both lead the team in points (18 each). Kahn pinned all three of his opponents in the first round.

  • Frosh Boy’s Basketball played great game but lost to Marine Academy 23-18. David Robinson and Mark Buzin each had 6 points.

  • Technovation and the Innovation Academy, along with other students, participated in Operation Airlift, sponsored by the Adler Planetarium. Students designed and built their own snap circuits to develop a remote-controlled console for a weather balloon. The Apollo team, consisting of Jessica Balleza, Finn Clary, Owen Clary,  Ilya Connor, Bella Guzman, Jaziel Juarez, Ryan Kalnmals, James Patsey, and Victor Villasenor got second place!

  • Our robotics team placed fourth against a mixture of public and private schools at this weekend’s FIRST robotics tournament! Students present and competing were Chris Prachniak, Tilly Nguyen, Josef Juarbe, and Uzair Ahmed.
