METAL DETECTOR SCREENING

 

In order to ensure a safe and secure environment, students and visitors may be subject to metal detector screenings. Walk-through and hand-held metal detectors are employed for this purpose. The procedures involved in conducting a metal detector check are time consuming. Therefore, to facilitate the process, students should arrive at school early and remove all metal objects from their person prior to entering the building.

 

 

 

Visits will be limited to persons on official business. Visitors must sign in and out at the main entrance. A Visitor's Pass may be obtained at the main entrance with approval from the main office. Visits are limited to a maximum of one hour. Relatives and friends of students may NOT attend school with students. Failure to comply with these regulations could result in a charge of trespassing and arrest.

Parents are always welcome in the school. In order for their visit to be worthwhile, they should always make sure that they have an appointment with the person with whom they wish to meet.
