Philosophy Club

Objective / Mission

The Philosophy Club's goal is to think critically about deep questions that are of importance to human life.  Sample questions include: What makes an action morally right? Is knowledge possible? Do I have free will? Is the mind identical to the brain?  What are the similarities and differences between science and ethics?  We will read excerpts from important philosophers such as Socrates, Plato, Descartes, and John Stuart Mill; watch movies about bioethics and artificial intelligence; and eat Doritos while we connect with each other over insightful discussion.
