Sheldon C. Krieger
Mr. Krieger was born and raised in Colorado. Prior to starting his teaching career, he received his Bachelor's in English Education from New York University, also completing his student teaching in New York City Public Schools. He began his teaching career in the School District of Philadelphia before moving to Chicago five years ago. He has also earned a M.A. in Teaching of English from Teachers College, Columbia University, as well as a M.S.Ed. in School Leadership from University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Krieger is currently working on his Ed.D. in Curriculum & Instruction at Loyola University Chicago, with research interests in mission and vision statements, educational experiences of students of color, teacher professional development, and writing instruction. This year will be his ninth in the classroom and third at LVHS. He's happy to be H.O.M.E.!
When he isn't teaching or studying, Mr. Krieger enjoys playing kickball, going to concerts, and international travel. He has been to over 200 concerts in his lifetime, and he spent the summer traveling to Amsterdam, Paris, and Rome. He's looking forward to the Traveller's Club visit to Greece this spring break! And his best friend is Ms. Frate.
