How do I reset a Student's Password?
(#38) Student Accounts: How to Access Google@CPS Student Accounts
Are you wondering how to get your students usernames and passwords - well here are the steps. We also have a document which can be found on the Google training site: https://sites.google.com/a/cps.edu/gone-google/home/google-cps-student-accounts
If students do not know their Google@CPS usernames, then teachers or Technology Coordinators should take the following steps:
Log into https://adam.fc.cps.edu/fcpwrst
To find an individual student, enter any search criteria - Student ID, FName, LName, Logon ID - and click search.
To view multiple students, in the bottom right corner, click “Export User List to Excel”. This user list will provide access to student usernames in the school.
Provide your students with their usernames.
The default student passwords follow the protocol: “Cps” followed by Student ID#; e.g., student with ID# 12345678: Cps12345678. The passwords can be changed by clicking “Modify Account” next to the students’ names.
Student Email Log-in
Students can log into their Google@CPS accounts if they know their usernames and passwords. Email can be accessed as follows: “http://google.cps.edu“ (Do not type “www”).
