Dr. Vyjayanti Joshi

Science Department Chair, Teacher

Vyjayanti Joshi has been teaching at Lake View High School since 2004 and has been the science department leader for the past six years. She has a doctoral degree from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India. She is a national board certified teacher and teaches Biotechnology, Biology, and Dual Credit Biology. She is the regional science fair chairperson for the last two years. In the past she has been the adviser of The National Honor Society and the coordinator of the school science fair. Dr. Joshi was awarded a gold medal by the university for securing first rank in the Masters of Science Program in Botany.
She has been nominated three times by students for the Suave Performance Plus teaching award. She has been a recipient of the Donors Choose grant and was featured on Fox News. Last year, she piloted the Dual Credit Biology program for the Chicago Public Schools.  Dr. Joshi loves to travel and spend time with her family.
