Wildcat Writing Center
At LVHS, we believe that the written word is a powerful form of self expression. The Wildcat Writing Center (WWC) provides a welcoming, inclusive, and productive space that encourages students to develop their identities and advance their writing skills.
At the Wildcat Writing Center, we believe that:
- Everyone is a writer because everyone writes.
- Writing is an empowering activity that gives everyone a voice.
- Writing is a multi-step process that requires time and energy.
- Writing is collaborative because it helps us communicate with one another.
The Wildcat Writing Center is staffed by trained student tutors who provide collaborative and one-on-one support to their fellow students at all levels in all grades. Students who visit the Writing Center receive individualized feedback and guidance to meet their specific needs.
The writing center is open to all students on a walk-in basis Monday through Friday (unless otherwise posted) after school. Students can also make an appointment for one-on-one tutoring. Click here to see tutor availability and schedule an appointment!
